Harlequin's Liming Paste is a waterbased paste designed to be used on raw wood with a soft grain in order to create a “limed” effect. Once the soft grain has been removed using a wire brush the liming paste is rubbed into the surface. The paste is then removed with a cloth leaving behind a white grain. Once dry the liming paste can be varnished over using one of Harlequin's waterbased varnishes making it ideal for use on furniture.

Harlequin's Liming Wax is a solvent based wax also used to create the same effect as the liming paste. This wax CAN NOT be varnished over. This product is more suited to items that do not receive a lot of wear and tear.
